A Beautiful Poem By Her Father, On The Occasion Of Her Joining Oxford University...
TO MALALA
May you be the shoots of grass that carpet the ground around us
May you be the mountain of Baina Swat which all can see
May you provide forest shade for others in the scorching summer
And the warmth of the sun in the cold of winter
May you be a cool breeze amid the smoke and fury of war
And a beacon of light in the black of night
The oppressed girls ask for happiness
The enslaved girls demand freedom
All girls long for wings
May you be there for them
And may your voice of truth and sincerity
Multiply by hundreds and thousands
Our only prayer is that The Almighty God be with you
Enlighten your heart and soul with new learning and knowledge, my dearest daughter
And let your bright vision always guide
